Big picture contribution: GridSAFE is a safe, low-cost smart-grid cyber range that simulates meters, substations, and operator activity end-to-end—turning raw ICS/SCADA-style logs into ML-driven anomaly insights and a city-scale LED visualization operators can act on. It helps students and teams practice detection, triage, and response trade-offs (edge vs. cloud, latency, cost, energy) without touching real infrastructure.
